Las historias son el hilo conductor que nos une a todos. De persona a persona, de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n, nuestras historias tienen el poder de influir en quienes nos rodean y m\u00e1s all\u00e1. A menudo, solo se escuchan las voces m\u00e1s fuertes, pero el proyecto Coastal Stories-Guadalupe Dunes se centra en las voces silenciosas; voces que a menudo provienen de comunidades olvidadas cuyas historias tienen fuerza, resonancia y significado. La importancia de dar voz a estas historias es un componente fundamental de Guadalupe, un peque\u00f1o pueblo con un gran coraz\u00f3n. Es un lugar que ha experimentado muchos cambios a lo largo de las d\u00e9cadas, pero que de alguna manera permanece atemporal. El proyecto Coastal Stories-Guadalupe Dunes fue financiado a trav\u00e9s de una subvenci\u00f3n del Estado de California Conservaci\u00f3n Costera<\/a><\/span>. Este proyecto multifac\u00e9tico con el Centro de las Dunas de Guadalupe-Nipomo<\/a><\/span>, centrado en brindar oportunidades para que se escuchen las voces subrepresentadas de la comunidad: sus historias y su conexi\u00f3n con las Dunas y el Ciudad de Guadalupe<\/a><\/span> Ahora tenemos una plataforma. Esto se hizo a trav\u00e9s de un nuevo mural hist\u00f3rico<\/a><\/span> por un artista local Colleen Gnos<\/a><\/span>, uno pel\u00edcula documental<\/a><\/span> por el director local, Chachi Ramirez<\/a><\/span>y seis se\u00f1ales interpretativas<\/a><\/span> ubicado por toda la ciudad por un dise\u00f1ador gr\u00e1fico local. Andrea Rockwell<\/a><\/span>Gracias a sus esfuerzos conjuntos, las voces silenciosas del pasado, hasta llegar al presente, tienen ahora una nueva oportunidad de ser compartidas con la comunidad en general.<\/span><\/p>\n

Este proyecto tambi\u00e9n obtuvo mayor difusi\u00f3n gracias a un cortometraje documental de PBS SoCal. En el quinto episodio de la primera temporada,<\/span> La costa de California presenta historias costeras de las dunas de Guadalupe.<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0 Puedes ver ese episodio en su sitio web.<\/span><\/p>\n
